Ross and Emily, Friends
Yes, Ross and Rachel are endgame but it was this wedding that made us gasp when the biggest blunder one can make at their wedding happened. At his wedding in London, the groom committed a big blunder by vowing — to Emily — “I, Ross, take you, Rachel.” Ouch!
Haley and Nathan, One Tree Hill
Nayley (as they are commonly called) showed fans the true meaning of “always and forever” when they got married for a second time in at the end of season three. Haley and Nathan’s relationship had its fair share of ups and downs—the wedding was no different. Haley’s ceremony was straight out of a fairytale (complete with a horse-drawn carriage), but when it came time for the reception, a drunken Rachel caused a scene and stole the happy couple’s getaway car resulting in an episode ending that had us at the edge of our seats. The fate of three lives (including Nathan’s) was hanging in the balance after the stolen limo flew off a bridge into the water.
Mathew and Mary, Downton Abbey
We had been waiting for this couple to get hitched from the minute they met each other. Before he met his demise (sob!), Matthew and Mary had one elegant and unpredictable wedding. He may not have been sure if his future wife was going to show up, but we had no doubt it was meant to be.
Margaery and Joffrey, Game of Thrones
Okay, so while this wedding reception ended in the demise of the horrible King Joffrey, we may have been cheering the whole way without subtlety. Who didn’t want him to get a taste of his own medicine?
Blair and Chuck, Gossip Girl
This couple’s ups and downs spanned the shows entirety – six whole seasons! But we all rejoiced when it finally happened. It might have been rushed — you know, to make sure it was over before the cops showed up to arrest both the bride and groom. Forget the vows, simply “three words, eight letters” from Chuck and “one word, three letters” from Blair. That’s love.
Christina and Burke, Grey’s Anatomy
The wedding never really happened, and they didn’t even get to walk down the aisle! But our hearts were with Christina all the way. In a moment of panic on Christina’s part, Burke simply walks away, for forever.
