Barikot is a city located in the south end of the Swat valley, which is at a distance of 20 km away from Mingora. The ruins that Italian archaeologists have unearthed in modern-day Barikot, in Pakistan’s Swat Valley, once belonged to Bazira, the city conquered by Alexander the Great.
